Mark W. Rutherford of Indiana has been involved for more than a decade with the Libertarian Party at both the state and national level including treasurer, Dillon for Secretary of State, 1998; fundraising chair, Libertarian Party of Marion County, 1999 – 2000; treasurer, Horning for Mayor, 1999; campaign manager, Bees for Council, 1999; Chairman, Libertarian Party of Indiana, 2000 – present; and, member, Libertarian National Committee, 2001 – 2006. David Owens of Pennsylvania is a veteran Libertarian campaign manager and consultant, and serves as the chairman of the board of supervisors of London Britain Township.
BetteRose Ryan of South Dakota is a veteran with the Libertarian Party, joining in 1979. Among her accomplishments are six years service on the Libertarian National Committee; more than six years on the board of the Libertarian Party of Colorado, first as state board fundraiser, then as state chair; part of a two-person team that developed and ran four state conventions, the last of which raised more $13,000 at their banquet; and, co-author with Michele Poague of the well received and widely copied and shared “how-to manual” on Libertarian State Conventions, which is still in use today.
David B. Schlosser of Arizona has been a political consulting veteran since 1992, with successful campaigns from US Senate and Congress to governor and citizen initiatives to city council under his belt before becoming a Libertarian candidate for US Congress in 2006. In his 15 years of work, Schlosser has managed statewide, regional, or local primary and general election campaigns for libertarian candidates and causes in 1994, 1996, 1998, 2000 and 2006; scared the old ATT away from mounting a “citizen” initiative in Arkansas; lobbied state and federal legislators and regulators for regulatory freedom in the telecommunications and energy industries; coordinated international public relations for a global microprocessor designer and manufacturer; earned 5% of the vote in a very competitive race for US Congress in AZ1 – using less than $30,000 against a Republican and a Democrat who both spent more than $1 million; and, been elected county chair of the Coconino County Libertarian Party and secretary of the Arizona Libertarian Party.
Todd Singer of Indiana is the chairman of the Libertarian Party of Hendricks County and Libertarian candidate for Hendricks County Council.
Rebecca Sink-Burris of Indiana joined the Libertarian Party in the early 1970’s. Her numerous accomplishments include Libertarian candidate for Monroe County Council, Indiana House, U.S Senate and Secretary of State; petitioner on many candidate petition drives in the early history of the Indiana Libertarian Party; four years service on the Bloomington Montessori School Board; and, served on the Bloomington Fire Safety Commission in 1999 – 2000 and chairwoman in 2000.
George Squyres of Arizona first registered as a libertarian in 1972. Since that time he has organized the Coconino County Libertarian Party affiliate – 2001; LNC Platform Committee Vice Chair - 2002/04; LNC Platform Committee Chair – 2006; member, Libertarian National Committee from 2002-06; vice-chair, Arizona Libertarian Party - 2003-07; campaign manager for CD1 in Arizona – 2002; gained ballot status for Coconino County – 2003; candidate for Coconino County Supervisor – 2004; and, coordinator, LNC State Chairs Conference – 2006.
